せっかくV801SAに機種変更して、林とテレビ電話しようと思ったのに。テレビ通話の料金が音声と変わらないのがいいよなぁ。

V801SA、ちゃんと FOMA P2102V と TV電話できました。
しかしこの端末やはり大きく重いです。
この大きさのディスプレイと解像度なら Palm OS 積んでも十分（ちょっと小さい？）使えそうな印象を持ちました（笑）
充電台も角度が4段階変えられてなかなか凝ってます。
nobi さんも早くゲットしましょう。
あ、もちろん SIM ロックはかかっているようです。

そして仕事は相変わらず、まだたっぷりと残っています．．．
う〜ん、困った
FOMAはやめないので一人テレビ電話する予定
（すでに各方面に電話番号を教えすぎた...）

こうして私もmtiさんやKiyotakaのように電話を５〜６個持ち歩く人生に....（auはEZ Naviwalkを選ぶか、1x WINを選ぶかが問題？）

現在も、
１．Paldio 633S（唯一のBluetooth機：メインの電話番号）
２．大谷和利さん絶賛、私も気に入ったWRISTOMO
３．P2102V
の３台...

既に海外用も、
ヨーロッパ：
ノキア、エリクソン、ソニーエリクソンT68i

アメリカ：
AT&T、Verizon、T68i
と３台づつ...

SIMロックは物理的なものですか？
それともソフトウェア的なものですか？

流れ？に乗り遅れないように本日V801SA（コスミックネイビーブルー）を入手。
当初機種変更の予定だったのだが、機種変更用の端末があちこち行った
Vodafoneショップに在庫なかったので（新規の端末もないとこも多い）
とりあえずヤマダ電機で新規契約（笑）。
J-Phone時代は、PDC端末は個人契約の場合、2回線契約できなくて、PDCとVGS
は可能だった。店員の話ではVodafoneになってからは平気らしい（本当か？）
まぁどっちにしてもPDCとVGSなので契約はできた。

機種変更用の在庫がないのでVGSを新規契約した理由だが、もう１つの不安も……。
それはVGSがうちでちゃんと使えるか。周波数が高くなるのでPDC 1.5GHzでも
厳しいうちではW-CDMAはまずいかもしれない。既存のPDCをVGSに変更して
しまうと、万が一受信感度が悪い場合、非常に困ったことになってしまう……
結果、とりあえず使えるのでこのまま2回線でいくかPDCを解約するか、
VGSを解約してPDCから機種変更の2度手間にするか悩むところ。

とりあえずV801SAはVフォーマット対応なので、メールや電話帳のデータは
PDCのJ-SH52からSDカード経由で簡単に移行！

あとはVGS用のUSBデータ通信ケーブルだ。Vodafone純正はWindowsのみ対応なので
サン電子のFOMA／VGS用がV801SAでも使えるか調べるかな。

P.S 気になるバグがいくつかあるなぁ。

あっ、ちなみにヤマダ電機では29800円でポイント19％でした。

私も遅ればせながら、今日、取材の帰りに新規申し込みしました
でも、新宿についたのが夜９時過ぎだったのでピックアップは明日以降．．．
仕事をがんばって早く切り上げる目標ができた！？

そうそう、今日の取材先でリチャード・ノースコットにあいました。今、思いっきり携帯コンテンツ系の仕事をしているようで（しかも、サーバーはXserve）いずれ取材丸必かも!?

では、さっそく明日テレビ電話しよう……って、お互いの新端末の電話番号を知らなかった（笑）

そういえば、ヤマダ電機19％のポイントに加えて、Vodafoneのタンブラー、シートトレイ、
ランチボックス、ストラップもくれました（サービスいいなぁ）

で、結局入手したの？

買いました。
FOMAのPよりも圧倒的に使いやすい...

海外行動の多い林には、そのまま端末を持っていけるVGSは、
FOMAカードをレンタル機に差し替るNTTドコモのWORLD WING
より便利かもなぁ（といってもGSM端末も持ってるんだろうけど）

操作性はわかんないけど、電波の入りはFOMAより良いという
声があちこちの掲示板などでも多い。反対に電池の持ちが悪い
という声も多い。継ぎ足し充電でなく、２～３回放電～充電を
繰り返せばちゃんと数日持つという話もあるが……わからん。

Hi, Andy - the V801SA is SIMlocked, so you can't use it with non-VGS SIM. In general, if you get a new phone with subscription, the handset is SIMlocked.

You lucky guys! In Eurpoe we have only cellphones with 0,3 MPixel!

中国では　China Mobile、China Unicomのサービスを通してローミングで利用できるようです。ただし、中のSIMカードは他の（中国などの）事業者のものには交換できず、Vodafone Japanのサービスを通してしか利用できません

ローミングの場合、中国国内での通話料が70円/分であることを考えるとあまりお勧めはできません

yes, as mentioned several times here. All V801SA handsets are SIM locked. Although just above your comment Kiyotaka is mentions there were someone on Yahoo! Auction Japan who claims to unlock it for price.

unfortunetelly, you can't use FOMA phones outside Japan.
They are W-CDMA only phones; they don't connect to GSM network.
You can use FOMA SIM card in GSM phones but you can't use GSM SIM card in FOMA phone; and it is not the problem of SIM-lock, but it is because it is W-CDMA only (not GSM)

the phones are not. But you can put the U-SIM card into GSM cell phones and use the same phone number.
